A$AP ROCKY: FACE OF DIOR HOMME FW16 CAMPAIGN

Written by , Posted in Beau-Tie Bulletin, Dapper on a Daily, Style Stories

A$AP Rocky is one of four creatives highlighted for Dior’s latest campaign, the others being film director Larry Clark of Kids fame, actor Rod Paradot and model Dylan Roques. The rapper rocks several looks from the upcoming collection, the most striking being a scarlet trench coat and a pair of Dior’s signature eyewear. While some may find him to be a curious fit for a brand as polished as Dior, the label put it best in the campaign by pointing out how Rocky “embodies the empowered masculinity of today’s urban dandy.”

Stay tuned for further information regarding Dior’s FW16 collection.

GENIUS. Spectacle. Extravaganza. Record-breaking. Unprecedented.

Yeezy directs an all-star production for over 20,000 on-lookers at Madison Square Gardens opening NYFW FW’16 Collections with a thunderous collide of music and fashion. The presentation is nothing less than thrilling as hundreds of models sport the latest collection’s looks amid zombie stance while Ye debuts tracks from his 3rd album, The Life of Pablo. The celebrity sitings are numerous. Far too many to mention. All that REALLY matters is when The Empress (Ms. Anna) herself shows up, there’s something to see.

Watch the live replay here and see some of the show photo highlights after the jump. Feel free to leave your thoughts on the collection in the comments section.

NYFW MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS: ROCHAMBEAU FALL / WINTER 2016

Written by , Posted in Beau-Tie Bulletin, Dapper on a Daily

New York-based brand, Rochambeau, led by design- duo Josh Cooper and Laurence Chandler, give us a one-way ticket to hip-hop heaven with their latest FW16 collection. Staged for a hip-hop house party with dueling DJ’s blaring bass-filled 90’s hits, the atmosphere only complimented the collection inspired by the 1992 film, Juice, starring Tupac Shakur. Clean and minimal, looks offered track pants, puffy-gilets, hoodies and other overside sportswear pieces paired with turtlenecks and button-downs. Oh, let’s not forget the oversized khakis and clean cuts (fades, that is). Favorites were in the outerwear, ponchos and parkas with large hoods and classic varsity jackets — all foolproof for lazy layers. Although simplistic in nature, the brand proves to be one of my new favorites with a burgeoning statement-making appeal in capturing street-culture at it’s essence.
